Here is my story.....
The Ah Ha! Moment I was 27 years old, making $8 hour and working 55 hours+ per week and looking for a second job. I knew there had to be a better way— I was discouraged working hard week after week and overtime, just to break even. There had to be another way to pursue my dreams. Then, my dad bought one vacant 10,000 square foot building in a quiet, modest, part of town. His mortgage, (back then), was around $500 per month. He decided to partition the building into 5 separate, easy-to-lease units. It was a good decision.
When finished, the total rental income my dad was receiving was $3500 per month, minus his mortgage and insurance-- he had $2900 per month positive cash flow. Just from one building investment!
